It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Welchons Mangum of Ocean Pines, Maryland, who passed away on September 7, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Irving Blair Welchons and Alsuma Reiter Hutcheson Welchons; her husband Robert Seward Mangum; and her siblings, Bennett, Irving, Charles, David Welchons, Charlotte Eike and Ann Stringfield.

She is survived by : her children, Bruce Mangum Vanessa (Jane) and Stacey Torres (Richard); her grandchildren, Robert, Haley, Lou, Sarah, Kate, Chelsea, Blair and Joseph; and her great grandchildren, Oliver, Ethan, Zachary, Libby, Charlotte, Jett and Max.
