He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Salvant and Felicie Kohler Salvant; his former wife Marcella Salvant; his stepfather Arther Dorsey; his brothers, Edgar, Robert, Gaines and Joseph Salvant; and his siblings' children, Linda Corbett and Gaines Hardee Salvant III.
He is survived by: his children, Henry, Felice Salvant of Hanover, MD, Elise Salvant and Maurice Salvant of Columbia, MD; his grandson Anthony Francis; his daughter-in-law Angela Francis-Salvant; and his sibling's children, Cheri, Ralph, Kathleen, Paulette, Patricia, Michael and Joe. He is also survived by cousins, great nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
