It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Henry Evans Jr. of Odenton, Maryland, who passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sr. (Leona Evans) and Odenton; and his brother Roger W. Evans. He is survived by: his wife Bonny Evans; his children, Mary Jane Robinson, Cheryl Lynn Mayo and Stacy Leigh Bishop; and his grandchildren, Alexxis M. Bishop, Emalie M. Mayo, Richard L. Robinson IV, Austen W. Bishop, Meghan E. Mayo, Ashlyn N. Bishop and Alexzandra R. Bishop.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mel's name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, whose compassionate care brought great comfort to him and his family.
