It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard J. Otero of Odenton, Maryland, who passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Otero and Maria Otero; and his wife Jeanneine Otero. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Otero Stokrp (Mike), Kristin Otero and Richard Otero Jr. (Monica); the mother of his children Paula Kinner; and his grandchildren, Michael Stokrp, Jake Stokrp, Nicolina Otero and Christopher Otero. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
