He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tharp and Eleanor Tharp (Himes); and his siblings, Nancy Scott (Tharp) and John H. Tharp. He is survived by: his wife Anna'Hui Liu Tharp; his brothers, David Tharp and Larry Tharp; and his stepdaughter Amy Van Der (Ricky). He is also survived by 2 grandsons; and several cousins, nephews and nieces and great nephew and nieces.
A reception will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hideaway's (1439 Odenton Rd, Odenton, MD 21113).
