He was predeceased by: his parents, Vyankatesh Wanmali and Prema Wanmali; and his wife Asha Wanmali. He is survived by: his children, Supriya and Samir; his children-in-law, Sarabjeet and Dalia; and his grandchildren, Aryan, Riddhi, Miles (Bandu) and Aditya (Chotu). He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended relatives.
