She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude William and Mary Katherine Funkhouser (Davis); her husband Kenneth David Richards, Jr.; her son Kenneth David Richards, III; and her siblings, William Funkhouser, Marie Wathen and Charles Funkhouser.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Koury (Peter), John Richards (Kimberley) and Robert Richards (Lisa). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as many chosen family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be made to Ark of Hope Rescue, 13400 Arctic Ridge Lane, Oldtown, MD 21555 in honor of Betty's memory.
