She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard McDonald and Berti Louise McDonald; her husband Charles Vernon Whorton; her siblings, Harry McDonald (Barbara) and Almeeta Snyder (Stanley); and her grandson Wayne Joy.
She is survived by: her children, John Whorton (Hilda) and Dr. Felicia Cain (Rodney); her grandchildren, Jessica Cain (Derek Melton), Jennifer Ternent (Adam Whitacre), Buck Whorton (Kristin) and Keith Joy; and her great grandchildren, Hailey, Lindsey, Kolton, Levi, Jesse and Everleigh. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
