He was predeceased by : his parents, Ben Short and Eleanor Thorson Wiernasz; his stepfather Frank Wiernasz; and his siblings, Sharon Gostomski, Sandra Weaver, Larry and Barry.

He is survived by : his wife Eufrosina; his daughter Farrah-Marisa Chua Short; his son-in-law Imix Lucian Shish; his grandchildren, Ela-Lucia Kajsa Shish and Anson Pax Shish; and his sister-in-law Josie of Imus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
