It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Sheehy of Olney, Maryland, born in Fall River, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband John Michael Sheehy; her mother Helen Cecelia Morrissey; her sister Shelia; her father Gerald Anthony Sr.; and her siblings, Sheila Morrissey, Ann Morrissey McCann (John) and Gerald Anthony Morrissey Jr..

She is survived by : her sons, Andrew, Christian Bryant Sheehy (Monica Reyes Sheehy) of Olney, MD and Justin Matthew Sheehy (Casie Moore Sheehy) of Bentonville, AR; her grandchildren, Devlyn Ann, Kylon John and Andrew John Sheehy (Wendy Lastrapes Sheehy) of New Orleans, LA.; her brother-in-law Joseph McCann of Tallahassee, FL; her nephews, Joseph McCann, Timothy McCann of Tallahassee, Michael Morrissey (Tracey) of Winter Garden, FL, Matthew Morrissey of New Bedford, MA and Gerald Morrissey III (Kara) of Washington, DC; her niece Renee Bradshaw (James) of Fairhaven, MA.; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Joseph, Molly, Sean-Patrick McCann, Lauren, Maddie, Michael, Mac Morrissey, Alexander, Zoelle, Henri, Wilson Morrissey, Gerald IV "Fitz", Seraphina, Cecelia Morrissey, Arden and Maeve Bradshaw.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace Church (15661 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring, MD 20906). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
