He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Freedman Scott and Effie Ligans Scott; and his brother Calvin Williams. He is survived by: his wife Ann Scott (Randol); his children, Paul F. Scott III (Thomas Mills), Peter Scott (Miya Page), Patrick Scott (Beverly Brooks), Patrice Scott Williams (Eric Williams) and Portia Scott (Corinne Schneider); his grandchildren, Matias, Nicolas, Miles, Benji, Niya, Elijah, Glory and Lena; his sister Sandra Scott Days (John Days); Roberta, Michael P. Scott (Maressa C. Scott) and Jonathan Scott (Esther Imende Scott).
