He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Antone Thiele and Lillian Catherine Thiele (Rausher); and his sister Lorraine Thiele. He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Thiele; his children, Raymond "Ray" Thiele, Billie Jean Thiele and Joseph "Joe" Thiele (Jennifer "Jenn" Thiele); and his grandchildren, Amanda, Tabitha, Raymond Jr., Charlie, Julia and John.
