He was predeceased by: his son Sean Franklin (Karla); his grandchildren, Kaiya and Ava; and his parents, George Franklin and Margaret Franklin.
He is survived by: his significant other Carrie Jones; his children, Danil Franklin, Sheena Franklin (Justin) and Sherrie Franklin; his grandchildren, Khloe, Sean Jr., Liam, Rain, Caiden, Malani, Lyric, Aspen and Dania; and his niece Karen. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. (9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery (11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117).
