He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Atchison and Catherine Janie King Atchison; and his siblings, Catherine Adamsky, Margaret Kramer, Mae King, Helen Graham, Edna Adams, Ellen Pickerall, Doris Haynes, Henry and Joseph Atchison.
He is survived by: his wife Susie; his son J. J.; his siblings, Christine and David; his children, Lisa Michele Atchison and James Lawrence Atchison Jr.; his stepchildren, Mindy and Troy Still; and his grandchildren, Brennen, Lukas, Jaxon and Tilly Beans. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sam's memory to Hospice of the Chesapeake would be greatly appreciated.
