It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Frederick Tayman (Owings, Maryland), who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ida Mae (Milburn); his parents, Eleanor L. Tayman (Stack) and Melvin C. Tayman; and his siblings, Ronald C. Tayman, William S. Tayman and Nancy L. Conley.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Budd (Steve), Steve Tayman (Julie) and Shelli Tayman (Barbara Saunders); his granddaughters, Lindsey Budd (Nick Rose) and Brittany Rogers (Adam); his great grandchildren, Dylan Budd, Nicholas Rose, Patrick Rose and Abigail Rogers; and his sisters, Patricia Tayman and Sharon Cunningham (Pete).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lee Funeral Home (8200 Jennifer Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church (14300 St Thomas Church Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772). A burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Cemetery (14300 St Thomas Church Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, honoring Freddie's spirit of caring and compassion.
