Patricia Ann Akowskey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2025, at the age of 81, Patricia Ann Akowskey (Owings, Maryland) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patricia Ann Akowskey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Michael Akowskey, Sr.; and her brothers, Timothy Desmond and Daniel Desmond. She is survived by: her children, James Akowskey, Jr. (Tammy) of Mechanicsville, MD, Michael Akowskey (Julia) of Waldorf, MD, William Anthony Akowskey (Kelly Ann) of Vancouver, WA, Diana Ropel (Steve) of North Beach, MD, Tammy Economes (Michael) of Prince Frederick, MD and Rebecca Gaynor (Lee) of Emporia, VA.; and her brother James Desmond. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lee Funeral Home-Calvert (8200 Jennifer Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jesus the Good Shepherd Cemetery (1601 W Mount Harmony Rd, Owings, MD 20736).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia's name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation at michaeljfox.org, in honor of her strength and in support of Parkinson's research.
