He is survived by: his wife Katherine Jean Absher; his children, Richard Adam Absher, Casey Alexandra Jones (Scott), Kimberly Michelle Absher and Jack Jason Pruitt; his grandchildren, Aaron Paul Absher, Denny Scott Jones, Brady Franklin Jones, Leni Jean Gebicke and Jack Wellington Pruitt; and his sisters, Sherry Ginnett (Robert), Christine Oursler (Marvin), Patti Prohaska (Laddie), Virginia Callahan (Bob) and Jeanie Absher.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
