He was predeceased by : his parents, Janet Dickinson and Robert "Bob" Ditzler Dickinson; and his brother-in-law Frank Boling. He is survived by : his wife Joanne C. Dickinson; his children, Robert Dickinson II (Denise "Linda") of Lynchburg, VA, Jeffrey Dickinson (Marguerite "Penny") of Nanjemoy, MD and Jennifer McDaniel (Brian) of Huntingtown, MD; his siblings-in-law, Susan "Diane" Boling and John Boling (Joyce) of Waldorf, MD; and his grandchildren, Justin Dickinson, Jose "Tony" Poblador, Brandon Poblador, Robert "Dillion" Poblador, Robert "Joe" Dickinson III, Michael Dickinson, Thomas "Andy" Dickinson, Kylie McDaniel and Aaron McDaniel. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
