She was predeceased by: her parents, Elisha Simpson and Lillie Gertrude Brown; her daughter Valerie Dorcel Wright; and her siblings, Eli Simpson, Elisha Simpson, Jr., Linda Simpson, Serlina Simpson and Annie Jean Simpson Spaulding.
She is survived by: her brother James Earl Simpson; her granddaughter Porsche Moses; and her goddaughter Sharon Coffey. She is also survived by her family, friends.
