He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kathleen Marie Murk and Richard Harvey Murk; his daughter Amanda Lorek (Zackary); his grandchildren, Adelynn Marie Lorek and Bennett Cole Lorek; his sisters, Sharon A. Smith (William), Michelle M. Murk and Cynthia L. Murk; and his nieces, Mary Ellen Fromm, Emily L. Smith, Alexandra N. Lijewski and Hayley M. Lijewski.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. (1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.
