He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Earl Poling and Norma Mae Poling (Sturdivant); and his sister Katrina Marie Bodkin (David). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Poling; his children, Nicholas Poling (Nicole) of Pasadena, MD, Kevin Poling (Courtney) of Glen Burnie, MD and Lindsay Grimes of Pasadena, MD; his stepchildren, Jennifer Lowry (Mark) of Greenville, SC and Michael Llewellyn of Pasadena, MD; his grandchildren, Sagin, Mackenzi, Chloe, Aiden, Jackson, Sawyer and Knox; his siblings, Peggy Jo Perrigoy (Dwayne) of Glen Burnie, MD and Jeffrey Lynn Poling (Ruth) of Coalton, WV; the mother of his children Robin Reinke; and his pet Retriever. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and long-time friends and his former wife.
