He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Francis O'Boyle and Marion O'Boyle (Thiel); his former wife Gertrude O'Boyle (Bentham); and his siblings, Janet McDonough and James O'Boyle.

He is survived by: his wife Linda O'Boyle (Sievers); his brothers, Robert Tuffy (Floss) and Walter Tuffy (Andra); his children, Joanne Lavery (Brian Mieczkowski), Joseph W. O'Boyle (Karen), Michael O'Boyle (Monica), Shawn O'Boyle (Patience) and Bryan O'Boyle (Kristen); and his stepdaughters, Terri Latham (Scott) and Sandy Robinson (Dave). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
