She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Hahn and Edward Hahn; and her brother Harry Dungan, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Houston Karnes, Jr. (Sonny); her daughter Christine Steele; her son-in-law Graham Steele; her grandsons, James and Eric; her sisters, Patricia MacFarlane and Brenda Leonhardt; and her brother-in-law Walter. She is also survived by many nieces, their spouses, and their children.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Owned and Operated McCully Polyniak and Collins Funeral Home (3204 Mountain Rd, Pasadena, MD 21122). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (308 Oak Manor Dr, Glen Burnie, MD 21061).
