It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Newton E. Shank Jr. of Pasadena, Maryland, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Newton may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Shank and Helen Marie Shank; and his siblings, Kenneth Shank, Thomas Shank and Barbara Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Catherine Shank; his son Bryan Shank (Andrea); his grandsons, Allen Newton Shank and Jacob Matthew Shank; and his sister Dianne White.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home (3111 Mountain Rd, Pasadena, MD 21122). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
