She was predeceased by: her parents, Shozo Sekiguchi and Haruyo Tanishita Sekiguchi; and her sibling Nao Wenkam. She is survived by: her siblings, Kenichiro "Ken" Sekiguchi, Jean Smith and Tadashi "Tad" Sekiguchi; her spouse Goro "George" Asaki; and her children, Arthur Asaki, Howard Asaki and Esther Asaki.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to Habitat for Humanity.
