He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Hankle and Edith Hankle; and his sister Judith A. Frey. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Hankle; his children, Laverne Perrigoy, David, James Hankle and Jacqueline Bethune; and his stepchildren, Supriya Harding and Rohan Korah. He is also survived by grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Galilee Lutheran Church (4652 Mountain Rd, Pasadena, MD 21122).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the U.S. Coast Guard in support of the greatest area of need, reflecting Paul's lifelong commitment to service.
