He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Cook; and his brother Jack Cook. He is survived by: his wife Constance Cook; his children, Frank Cook (Gina), Theresa "Terry" Brown (Jeff), John Cook (Paula), Joseph Cook (Jeanette) and Dan Cook; and his grandchildren, Amy Martin, Jason Cook, Grace Seelagan, Benjamin Cook, Gloria Cook, Shawn Brown, Karl Brown, Denis Bawer Cook, Alexander Cook and Mackenzie Cook. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
