He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilson Whitt and Lorainne Bush (Sayers); his sons, Ronnie Ratledge and Lou Ratledge; and his siblings, Shirley Hannibal, Jay Bishop, Jr., Jerry Bishop and Michael Whitt.

He is survived by : his wife Carol L. Whitt (Tharp); his children, Laura Weichamn (Tim), Brittany Ratledge, Mickey Ratledge (Niki), Billy Whitt (Stephanie) and Dave Whitt; and his sisters, Pat Luna (Ferdinand), Joann Connoly (Michael) and Betty Bee (Andre).

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home (1493 Clayton St, Perryville, MD 21903). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
