He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Chestnut and Effie Lee Chestnut (Brewer); his wife Katherine Chestnut (Tiller); his children, Bill Jr. (Faith), Debbie (Judson Kadow), Fred "Buck" (Erica), Tina (Rob Poffenberger), Rob (Michelle) and Karen Sice; his grandchildren, Bill Chestnut III, Athena Chestnut, Bonnie Chestnut, Jon Chestnut, Jordan Kadow, Audrey Kadow, Anne Chestnut, Camille Chestnut, Abby Poffenberger, Bobby Poffenberger, Elizabeth Poffenberger, Summer Chestnut, Brandon Sadler, Justin and Victoria Sadler; his great grandchildren, Gavin Chestnut, Liam Chestnut, Cole Chestnut, Sophie Chestnut, Rylynn Lowe, Rori Chestnut, Bryan Chestnut, Mike Chestnut, Mila Sadler, Martin Sadler, Edwin Noon and Tyler Aguilera; and his sister Melba Romanek (Chestnut) of Elkton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. T. Foard Funeral Home (111 S Queen St, Rising Sun, MD 21911). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Praise Assembly Church (1421 S Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702). A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hopewell Cemetery (1811 Hopewell Rd, Port Deposit, MD 21904).
