With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy (Cohen) Holniker of Phoenix, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her sons, Barry, Daniel and Eric; and her parents, Jeanette Cohen and Jack Cohen.

She is survived by: her grandson Coleman; her stepdaughters, Ellen Holniker Emard and Linda Holniker Amrein; her nieces, Mary Jean Brown and Simone Hicks; and her friend Ro Defeo.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beth Tfiloh Cemetery (5660 Windsor Mill Rd, Woodlawn, MD 21207).

Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the charity of your choice.
