Alvin Sheer Obituary

We announce the death of Alvin Sheer of Pikesville, Maryland, who passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 98. Alvin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Sheer; his siblings, Betty Sheer Myerberg and Norman Sheer; and his parents, Minnie Sheer and David Sheer.

He is survived by: his children, David Sheer (Laurie), Stuart Sheer (Karen Horrigan) and Ilene Sheer Rosenberg (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Robert Rosenberg and Katie Donovan Gibbs (David); his son Jacob Simpson; and his caregiver Belinda Smith.
