She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Katz and Louis Katz; her husband Bill Finkelstein; her son Alan Gurwitz; her in-laws, Bertha and Hyman Gurvitz; her siblings, Robert [Fran] Katz and Velma [Jack] Cheslock; her sister-in-law Elaine Friedman; and her nephew David Cheslock.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie [Steve] Gurwitz Zurier and Howard [Sharon] Gurwitz; her grandchildren, Benjamin Zurier, Solomon Zurier and Randi Gurwitz; her great grandchildren, Olivia and Jon; her brother K. Ray Katz [Sue]; and her nieces and nephews, Shelley [Stan] Potler, Claire Cheslock, Joe Cheslock, Michele [David] Knorr, Cheryl [Brock] Jasmin, Renee [Michael] Gerber and Lauren Katz. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
