He was predeceased by: his brother Norman Hoppenstein; his parents, Abraham "Abe" Hoppenstein and Reba Hoppenstein; and his former wife Janet "Holly" Hoppenstein. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hoppenstein; his children, Brian Hoppenstein (Heather) and Laura Rubenstein (Jason); his sister Marion Levy; and his grandchildren, Brandon Hoppenstein, Meredith Hoppenstein, Evan Rubenstein and Harris Rubenstein.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Sol Levinson's Chapel (8900 Reisterstown Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208).
