He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Thomas; his grandson Reed Thomas Rubenstein; his sister Gertrude Escann (Morrie "Moonie"); his niece Sharon Escann; and his parents, Isadore Thomas and Tillie Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Cyndie Schlossberg (Barry), Jill Anthony (William), Wendy Wolock (Bruce) and Randi Jacobson (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Sean Hiken (Lisa Hodges-Hiken), Robert Hiken (Elizabeth), Jed Hiken (Marla), Tara Collins (Chastain), Matthew Wolock (Jayme Epstein), Jennifer Carroll (Brian), Mackenzie Billings (Nicholas), Maxwell Cooke (Hooper) and Alisa Tinkham.
