He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Gatton Abell; his daughter Shannon Dent (Abell); his son-in-law Rob Dent of Great Mills, MD; his grandsons, Robby and Rhett Dent; his brother Robert Abell (Janice); and his sibling's children, Robby Abell (Sherri), George Allen Abell (Carrie), Jaime Weber (John) and Melissa Long (Brandon).
