He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley M. Matthews and Pauline S. Matthews of Kingston, MD.; his wife Rochelle Boole Matthews; his brother Stanley Milbourne Matthews; his brother-in-law Leslie Herman Heineken; and his parents-in-law, Willis E. and Grace Tingle Boole.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronald F. Matthews, Jr. (Tammy) of Melfa, VA, Scott F. Matthews (Beth) of Pocomoke City, MD and Todd L. Matthews (Andie Brace) of Newburgh, NY; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Matthews Miller (Matt) of Carlisle, PA, Justin E. F. Matthews (Brittany Drewer Matthews) of Pocomoke City, MD, Abby Matthews, Matt Egan of Charlotte, NC and Caroline Matthews of Pocomoke City, MD; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Liam Miller, Mayson, Foster and Levin Matthews; his siblings, Sandra Matthews Marshall (Larry) of Salisbury, MD, Bonnie Matthews Clayton (Paul) of Wilmington, NC and Rob Matthews (Pam) of Salisbury, MD; his sister-in-law Kathy Powers Matthews of Salisbury, MD; and his cousin Debbie Baker of Fall River, MA.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
