James E. Knight Obituary

We announce the death of James E. Knight of Poolesville, Maryland, who passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 95. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James E. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Arthur "Tim" Knight, Richard "Dick" Knight and Marilyn Knight (Phillips); and his child Clare Ellen Knight (Gilbert). He is survived by: his wife Anabel; his siblings, Walter "Butch" Knight and Sandy Knight (Engdahl); his children, Susan Louise Knight (Sparks), James Allen Knight, Carl David Knight, Matthew Gale Knight and Andrea Jean Knight (Peden); and his cousin Jeff Wagar. He is also survived by 20 grand children, 29 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
