He is survived by: his wife Juanita D'Costa; his sons, Darren D'Costa and Sean D'Costa (Christine); his grandson Leo D'Costa; and his brother Leonard D'Costa (Brenda).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church (17230 Tom Fox Ave, Poolesville, MD 20837). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rex's memory to the Montgomery County Humane Society (mchumane.org), a fitting tribute to his love of animals.
