He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Weems and Marie Weems of Saint Leonard; his brother Bobby of Huntingtown; and his parents-in-law, Mary and Tommy Thompson of Saint Leonard.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Thompson Weems of Port Republic; his children, Sandy Jones (Billy) of Saint Leonard, Steven (Jamie) of Saint Leonard and James of Port Republic; his grandchildren, Amy Barrett (Rob), Megan Michelle, Tommy Buckmaster, Taylor, Kade, Jameson, Quinn and Emersyn Weems; and his great grandchildren, Max, Cannon and Charlotte.
