Robert Douglas Weems Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Douglas Weems of Port Republic, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 10, 2025 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Weems and Mattie Yoe Weems of Port Republic, Maryland.; his siblings, Gardner Weems and Rebecca Weems Angelella; his wife Betty Lee Weems (Prout); his son Gordon Douglas Weems; and his granddaughter Katherine Curran Martin (Rossow).

He is survived by: his brother Mason Gourly Weems; his son John Philip Weems; his daughters-in-law, Pamela Grear Weems (JP) and Eileen Curran Weems (Douglas); his grandchildren, Joshua Weems, Jenni Weems, Robert Richardson, Mattie Weems Stott, Tyler Stott, Megan Weems and Matthew Fleck; and his great grandchildren, Johnny, Mayers, Bobby, Grear, Locke and Douglas. He is also survived by his family for the ever-present dog.

He was known for being open 365 days of the year, come rain, snow, or pandemic.
