He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Ruck and Rhoda Ruck; his brother Dennis Ruck; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Kransdorf (Ronnie) and Jeanne Spivak.

He is survived by: his son Ryan Alexander Ruck; his wife Myrna Joy Spivak; his brother-in-law Marvin Spivak; his nieces and nephews, Geoffrey Kransdorf, Andrew Kransdorf (Lorraine), Kipling Kransdorf (Ellen), Matthew Kransdorf (Ming), Amy Yontef-McGrath (John), Kevin Spivak (Kellie), Gregory Spivak (Zohar), David Yontef, Andrew Spivak (Jill) and Robyn Dinallo (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Zachary, Aaron, Alexander, Ezekiel, Erica, Jacob, Sarah, Ella, Jordana, Annabelle, Alora, Lyla, Grady, Claire, Joseph, Kenzy, Raymond, Kate, Cosmo, Hunter, Cody and Dasha. He is also survived by other extended family members and dearest of friends.
