Norma Lee Funger Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Lee Funger of Potomac, Maryland, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Yetta Krupsaw Cohen and Samuel P. Cohen; her husband Morton; her children, Lydia McClain (Bill), Melanie Nichols (Paul), Holly (W. Scott Funger) and Keith Funger (Mauri); and her grandchildren, Zachary Fried (Ali), Spencer Fried (Emily), Caitlin, Sawyer Nichols, Teddy, Sam, Nick Funger, Haley, Celeste and Amanda Funger.
She served on the Foundation Board of Children's National Hospital for 31 years where she and Morty established the Cohen-Funger Endowed Chair of Cardiovascular Surgery.
