In loving memory of Rani Karunaratne of Potomac, Maryland, who departed this world on April 23, 2024 at the age of 83. Rani leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Anura. She is survived by : her children, Nilan (Ashley) and Himashi (Rafael); her grandchildren, Madison, Paige, Nylah, Olivia and Shay; her siblings, Padmini and Ranjith; her sister-in-law Prasadi; and her niece Nanda. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, as well as many cherished friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home (11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a Buddhist Vihara in her memory.
