She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Katz and Betty Katz; and her daughter Arlene Kaufman Marlowe. She is survived by : her husband Stuart Kaufman; her children, Jay Kaufman (Bernice) and Paula Mates (Alexander); her sister Frances Kiejdan-Lott (Dennis Lott); her grandchildren, Jesse Mates (Haley), Tyler Mates, Nicholas Kaufman and Joshua Kaufman; and her great grandchild Charlie Mates. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (ushmm.org) to honor her as a Holocaust survivor.
