Dorsey L. Blades Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorsey L. Blades of Preston, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 18, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Blades and Louise Christopher Blades; his wife Miriam Prchal; and his brother Larry Blades. He is survived by: his children, Annette Hinnershitz (Bruce), Kevin Blades (Christine) and Gary Blades (Chasity); his grandchildren, Kristen Stiles, Meredith Griffith, Josh Blades, Brooke Blades, Dalton Blades and Kara Semans; his great grandchildren, Rory, Adley, Hayden, Jaxson and Brody; his brother Robert Blades (Emily); and his sisters-in-law, Norma Jo Dukes and Dena Collins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Preston Volunteer Fire Hall (3680 Choptank Rd, Preston, MD 21655). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
