Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved William Hobart Mowbray of Preston, Maryland, who passed away at the age of 88, on October 28, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mowbray and Pauline Mowbray; his granddaughter Heidi Howell; and his siblings, Paul, Leroy, James, George Mowbray, Ruth Geisel, Ann Rayfield, Evelyn Slacum, Betty Lynch, Dortha Childs and Helen Sannes.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Beth Prouse (Drew) and Jennifer Walter (Tom); his grandchildren, Danielle Knode (Jeremy), Adam Prouse and Hannah Prouse; his great grandchildren, Clint, Colt Cannon, Piper and Jeremy Knode Jr. Bill; and his brothers, Tom and Wilson Mowbray. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Framptom Funeral Home (216 N Main St, Federalsburg, MD 21632). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veteran Cemetery (6827 E New Market Ellwood Rd, Hurlock, MD 21643).
