Hammett, III (Sonny); her grandson Jason R. Spoeri; and her siblings, John Wathen, Imelda Johnson, Mary Arban, Elizabeth Tippett, Frank Wathen, McGuire Wathen, Truman Wathen, Sr., Joseph Wathen, Phyllis Leymeister and James Wathen.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Brown (Robert) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Donna Taylor (Michael) of The Villages, FL, Michael Hammett (Priscilla) of Sunset Beach, NC and Michelle Miller (Jeffery) of Huntingtown, MD. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lee Funeral Home (8200 Jennifer Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Jesus the Divine Word Catholic Church (885 Cox Rd, Huntingtown, MD 20639). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (8000 Woodyard Rd, Clinton, MD 20735).
