He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Anderson, Sr. and Leah Robinson-Anderson; his daughters, Margaret Anderson and Bonnie Anderson; and his siblings, William Anderson and Margaret Jane Anderson.

He is survived by : his children, Robert "Keith" Anderson, Dianne Wilson, Kay Anderson, Doretha Burrell and Wanda Mumford; and his brother Samuel Anderson. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a host of great great grandchildren.
