She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Elliott Sharp, Sr. and Elizabeth Councell Sharp; her son Mike Truitt Sr.; her grandson Scott Truitt; and her siblings, Evelyn Lynch, Cecilia Stanley, Catherine Hickson and Bud Sharp.
She is survived by: her children, Phil Truitt (Betsy) of Queen Anne, Cindy Durham (Mike) of Queen Anne and Jo Ann Councell (Phil "Chip" Jr.) of Cordova; her daughter-in-law Sharon Truitt of Centreville; her grandchildren, Kelly Hall (Mark Boyle), Melissa Councell, Jason Councell (Casey), Alan Durham (Sarah), Kris Durham (Victoria) and Michael Truitt Jr.; her great grandchildren, Ryan (Taylor), Corey, Laela, Addie, Avery, Davis, Sydney, Anna and Nathan; and her great great grandchildren, Barrett and Reaves.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at 11864 Kittys Corner Rd, Cordova, MD 21625.
