He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edison Hunter, Sr. and Lelia Mae Sewell; his grandson Randy Drake Thrower; his brother Timothy Hunter; and his son-in-law Richard Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Hunter; his daughters, Michelle Hunter and Melody Hunter; his son-in-law Steve Thrower; his grandchildren, Owen Hunter, Kayla, Jessie, Lacey, Kyle, Amanda, Josh, Amber and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Amelia Borradaile and Jonah Amos; his siblings, Sylvia Taylor, Pam Harrison and Dicky Hunter; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Lewis and Robin Lewis.
